In addition to providing women artisans with a fare wage, a safe workplace, and support for their families, through our non-profit foot forward fund we invest 100% of net proceeds in impactful activities to empower girls and women, including our own sanitary pad production and distribution program—uhurupads. Handmade in East Africa, these sandals are created using traditional Maasai beading and leather sourced from local farmers. In women’s whole sizes 6-12, our sandals feature a leather footbed, uppers, and straps lined with a soft, microfiber lining and rubber outsole. All products are available to be received within 2 weeks of payment. Hand-beading, soft, durable leather soles and accents in natural leather, but soft micro-fiber lining, rubber sole (approximately .25 inches), removable plastic tubing at the toe (to extend the life of the sandal).
